Rahm Emanuel

Carimah Townes, ThinkProgress, Rahm Emanuel just aligned himself with the Trump administration — I don’t like Emanuel any more than the next lefty but look at what he said he asked Sessions for: ex-offender programs, gun prosecutions, and mentoring, in addition to more federal agents. These aren’t things the feds are going to deliver under Trump/Sessions. To me this looks like asking for things he knows he’s not going to get so that he can point the finger at the feds later and say, “Look, we tried, but I guess they’re useless.” Maybe that’s too hopeful?
